tafe open day

went to Tafe open day today - a sunday - ten marks for effort i say!

was fun with ally and najree in the house - made some excellent progress with my jacket - got sleeves in and looks tremendous!

attended parade out in the foyer - was chuffed my swimwear was selected to be a part of the parade.

those finesse models are excellent - love their ways!

have had some great ideas tonight about my collection and its eventual fruition and thus cant sleep as a result!!!

coffee time :-)

The skirt coming together...

the new scenery!! ME= happy student :-)

Me at the old campus - designing away

a shiney work surface always helps

oh

I just failed to comment on the new Tafe campus - 10/10 excellent and such a wonderful improvement. I actually feel like a fashion student walking through the doors of the main hallway upstairs and that makes want to work hard and create beautiful things.

I hope future students feel this way - inspiration is a rare commodity when your studying - no money to do anything - travelling and the likes - so to be inspired by the space you inhabit is a great thing! Peace!

getting there

Well i havent been so good with the blogging side of things - so ive decided to sit down and write a little bit about what ive been up to.

Today i have been uber motivated and have pattern made and toiled up garment number 4 - a one shouldered top in silk satin. Im quite pleased at the progress im making so far with my graduation collection.

Last night i worked till midnight getting the components together for my jacket - this features in the first outfit.

Tomorrow i will be going into Tafe for Tafe open day so this will be a good opportunity to get some solid work done - i still have to lay out and cut garment number 2 which is a striped top - it is toiled already so good to go!

Once thats done and a small slip stiching job on the skirt of that outfit - the whole outfit will be finished!

I am now going to spend a few hours pattern making outfit number 3 which is a full length dress

pics to come which hopefully (and unsure here as most pictures ive taken have been of ally pulling funny faces) will show an approximate illustration of the process - i certainly dont want to show too much though as there would be less surprise factor at the graduation!
